Adding fuel to the fire, another report suggested that Samsung is considering an “Ultra” variant of the foldable device to complement the rumored budget-friendly version.

In previous launches, Samsung has followed a pattern of assigning the number “6” at the end of the model number for its flagship-series devices. For example, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 carries the model number SM-F946, while its predecessor, the Fold 4, was designated as SM-F936. Therefore, it logically follows that the upcoming Fold 6 would likely bear the model number SM-F956, based on this established pattern.

The “8” designation in Samsung’s model numbers has been consistently associated with its “Ultra” models in recent years. For instance, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is identified by the model number SM-S928, while the S24+ variant bears the model number SM-S926. This pattern indicates that Samsung is likely developing an “Ultra” variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, aligning with its established naming conventions for premium-tier devices.
