Gboard Brings Google Search to the iPhone Keyboard
Recently, Google has released a useful keyboard app for its iOS fans known as Gboard. The keyboard embeds Web search into the typing interface which makes it easier for users to insert information, gifs, and emojis without leaving the conversation. This keyboard also allows the users to easily search for things like flight times, news articles, restaurant and business listings, weather and more right from your keyboard.

How It Works:
Gboard features a Google search icon on the top left of the keyboard screen. Users press the G icon and then search for required information like addresses, flights and even Youtube videos. Before the Gboard, user had to leave one app and open another app to search on Google and then they have to copy paste it into the conversation after finding the required data.
On this feature the the head of the product team that developed Gboard said that:
“We wanted to bring the best of Google to Gboard, so you’ll see Maps, Translate, image and video search, News and others,”
He further added that initially Gboard will not surface any information specific to you.
The keyboard also supports glide typing, which let user’s type words by sliding their finger from key to key instead of tapping. The only drawback with this app is its slow release. As till now the app has been released only for iPhone users in the US. The company did not reveal the date to launch the app for Andriod and other iPhone users globally.
