Yes!! It’s just a new just entry in Pakistan’s market –where the competition is getting tough day by day. It’s Daraz.pk –a renowned e-commerce web portal that going to launch a new brand named General Mobile 4G Dual which is truly a European smartphone. We are going to witness a healthy compaction in market. In General Mobile 4G Dual review, we will try to cover all the aspects of smartphone.

General Mobile 4G Dual is complete package of hardware and software. It’s packed with average performing hardware.Genera Mobile 4G dual is an Android One smartphone that runs latest Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. The smartphone users would know about Android One. The specs sheet includes 5.0” HD IPS display, snapdragon 410 chipset is embedded inside controls all the operation.

The camera section has 13MP rear with LED flash and 5MP front snapper.  When it comes to battery it has pretty decent battery capacity that is 2500mAh. To assist the processor during processing General Mobile 4G Dual is provided with 2GB RAM while the internal memory is 16 GB  that can be further expanded upto 32 GB via  SD-card. The Price is not yet announced by official website because it is set to be available in coming week.

Display of General Mobile 4G Dual:

The General Mobile 4G Dual has 5.0” HD IPS capacitive display. Screen resolution is said to 720 x 1280 pixel and the total calculated no. of dpi is 320. The screen colors are cool and all the colors are slightly tint give natural look. The display colors aren’t appear to be much sharp that give more natural look by the way. The brightness is though well set for an argument but on technical side it could have been increased a little more. General Mobile gives no as such issue of viewing angel, even the HD display is enough to maintain position in mid-range. The capacitive touch is smooth and responsive –hardly goes irresponsive and pauses.

Design of General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile 4G Dual is a handy and catch smartphone in term of design engineering.  The dimension are measured to be 140 x 69 x 9 mm (it’s not an official measurement) and weighs just 134 grams including 2500mAh. All thanks to plastic body frame structure that makes it more likely light and handy.

The upfront carries 5.0” incher capacitive display, Inside the screen panel clothed with Gorilla Glass 4 –a thin black bezel can been seen that shrinks the viewable area by 1cm. That thin coating around the screen give protection to capacitive panel.

Area above the screen has some necessary stuff to carry. In the middle, as usual an earpiece is placed in circle bump. There is couple of sensor along with 5MP front camera at right side next to earpiece while the left side has only a notification LED which is only visible when burns.

The smartphone is 9mm thick, the edge is decorated with two parallel silver color lines that runs around four side and give attractive look to General Mobile 4G Dual.

The top edge has 3.5mm audio jack and noise cancellation mic at right corner. The right side has the only physical buttons of smartphone, the power button and a volume rocker that are placed at right position. The bottom edge has been loaded with MicroUUB 2.0 port, and grills for speaker and microphone.

The back cover is removable and made of elastic plastic which shades a bit yellowish color. The upper portion has round cutout for 13MP rear camera and oval shape bump for dual LEDs. General Mobile is printed on back cover with shiny glossy silver paint.

Memory for General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile comes with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB ROM while the user is left with 12GB usable storage space. The provided 2GB RAM Is enough to assist the mid-range processor from snapdragon family. The General Mobile gives you option to increase the storage space upto 32GB. The provided memory is enough to process the data smoothly. But you will definitely feel the lags if you have been the user of high end smartphone.

Camera within General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile features 13MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera of selfie. The camera App is simple, all you see on the interface are two toggle. By swiping from left to right side appears different pre-defined modes. A toggle on right side leads you to settings. Swiping from right to left bring up the captured photos from Gallery.

The settings interface is just simple and straight forward. No complex settings option have been given by General Mobile. Howevr there is No ISO control mechanism, No white balance settings and many others.

Rear Camera of General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile carries 13MP rear camera on back along with Dual LEDs. The camera makes 4160 x 3120 px resolution photo with native 4:3 ratio. The picture quality is though good however the color sharpness is bit awkward. The colors are mostly tint. Pictures usually go blurry and noisy. General Mobile a mid-ranger with 13MP lens but unluckily they couldn’t do justice with camera. Yet the smartphone suits those users who are not very much fond of photography and seldom use camera. General Mobile 4G Dual could have done better. We have shared the picture captured General Mobile’s rear camera. The camera can make 1080px video.

There pre-defined mode includes Panorama, Lens Blur, Photo Sphere.

Front Camera of General Mobile 4G Dual:

The front camera is 5MP captures picture with 2560 x 1920 pixels resolution. However it can be adjusted according to situation. The camera can make HD 720p video. The image quality is fairly good and acceptable. As discussed earlier its a mid-range smartphone, so can’t expect much from General Mobile –although from technical point it lacks certain things. The photos captured with General Mobile’s front camera lacks information and colors are more tint.

Network / Connectivity of General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile comes with proper connectivity suit. It’s a dual SIM standby 4G enabled device supports all the frequency band in Pakistan. Likewise for physical connectivity it has MicroUSB 2.0 port and 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. For positioning, The A-GPS module is embedded.

Battery Performance of General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile 4G Dual is powered with 2500mAh battery. The battery is removable though fitted nicely inside the frame. Battery capacity is enough to keep 720p HD lit up and provide power embedded processor.

General Mobile provides good backup while using GSM network like making calls and Messaging. It can last for almost 48 hours if using GSM network for messaging and call.

While using 3G network for browsing, video call or social networking. 3G service always sucks battery rapidly. But with General Mobile, it can work for almost 7 to 8 hours.  If you are frequent user of 3G or 4G network. You would have to charge General Mobile twice a day.

Interface of General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile is an android One smartphone that runs latest Marshmallow 6.0.1. It has simple and user-friendly interface that empowers the user to operate the phone easily. The home screen has slide layout to increase the screen pages. The home screen shows Google search bar at top and rest of screen is left for icons placement.

The smartphone has packed with almost all Google’s Application that are pre-installed. But there is no third party application for previewing the save image from storage. The file manager is not available in General Mobile, if someone’s need –would install third party Application.

Processor of General Mobile 4G Dual:

General Mobile has snapdragon 410 chip on board. Its a Quad core processor with clock speed of 1.3 GHz. The 400 series is an upper category entry level chipsets from Qualcomm chipset family. Qualcomm is a leading chipset provider from all across world which provide quality chipset in term processing, battery consumption, and durability.

General Mobile is being controlled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. The switching among apps is just smooth and frequent. But if run several apps at same time, after a while you feel lagging while switching Apps.

The GPU module is Adreno 306 which itself an out dated GPU from but still works fine with such kind of mid-range devices.

Antutu Benchmark of General Mobile 4G Dual:

While bench marking of General Mobile with Antutu has been performed. The General Mobile has performed very well and got decent score. The obtained points are 27K+, that shows the Qualcomm chipset has done its job with justices.

Vellamo Benchmark of General Mobile 4G Dual:

In vellamo bench marking, General Mobile has not performed upto the mark. That might be the reason of entry level chipset inside the phone.

In multicore test, it just managed to get 1206 points, yet if put a glimpse on comparison table. General Mobile 4G Dual took position from Samsung Galaxy Nexus.

The single test, General Mobile got 783 points, thanks to each single 1.2 GHz core. The points aren’t quite fascinating but still better.

The last Browser test, it has attained 1949 point –well, the figure isn’t impressive but chrome browser is enough responsive for running scripts and animations.
