Ghazi University Plans to Give Free Smartphones to Students and Faculty

A University in Dera Ghazi Khan announced to Give out Free Smartphones to their Students and Faculty. Ghazi University has a total of 5,500 students and is based in Daira Ghazi Khan. The announcement was made to give smartphones to the students as well as the faculty in a welcome party on Saturday organised by the Urdu department. The newly-appointed Vice Chancellor of Ghazi University, Professor Muhammad Khalique Ahmed, unveiled the university’s plan.

Professor Muhammad Khalique Ahmed said that

The university was planning to give iphones with curriculum and books apps to students to convert the campuses into cyber campuses.

Along with the announcement of this plan, the Vice Chancellor also inaugurated a new model class room equipped with cyber facilities and promised to upgrade the library to modern standards.

He added:

The students and faculty would be in contact round the clock and students could use respective e-books. Students would have to bear a nominal cost and they could save money spent on purchase of expensive books.

The VC said he himself was using iphone technology to remain linked with international academicians and PhD students.With these initiatives, the VC aims to improve the university and bring it up to standards with the modern world

He also ensured that the existing library would be converted into a modern one equipped with cyber technology to some how avoid the cyber crimes.
