GIKI to Launch its First Entrepreneurship Program, The Incubator

Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) is all set to officially launch its first ever entrepreneurship program, The Incubator, on February 16, 2017. The launch event will be held at GIK Institute. GIKI to Launch its First Entrepreneurship Program, The Incubator.

In 2015, the Directorate of Science and Technology and Ministry of ST & IT KPK gave a grant of PKR 100 Million to GIK Institute. The amount was given for the establishment of Technology Incubation Centre, called The Incubator.

The self-proclaimed well-known startup program of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, The Incubator, is a platform for new graduates and upcoming startups. That will provide them services including office space, technical assistance, mentoring, authorized assistance in logical property protection and company formation, computer and internet services, phone and fax facilities.

The Launch Event will be Held at GIKI on 16th February 2017

The Incubator strives to improve the concept of marketability and entrepreneur skills in participants working in any area. This helps in promoting economic growth and reducing poverty in the country by building private enterprises. It also anticipates that with the guidance of mentors, faculty and industry experts, it will deliver an entrepreneurial environment to nurture the ideas of students.

The Incubator was in its beta stages during which several startups were incubated to test-run. But now after many iterations, the incubator looks ready for the official launch.

No doubt such startups are really encouraging. In near future we will witness drastic changes in the province as such efforts will help in bringing digital revolution in KP and in whole country as well.
