Google Introduces New Search Options in Android Messages App

Google has announced that the Android Messages app will get a new search options. This will now facilitate users to search through previous chats. It seems that Android Messages app is improving slowly and getting ready to compete with other messaging apps such as WhatsApp or Apple iMessage.

The Mountain View company claims that now it will be easy for the users of Android Messages app to find more of the content shared in their chats by simply searching type of content or by contact.

Google Search Options in Android Messages App will Let You Search Previous Content

By tapping on the search icon, the new options can be approached. Moreover, by selecting a specific contact you can see your messaging history with them. You can search both one-to-one and group conversations. Other than that you can also find all the photos, video, addresses or links shared with each other.

Previously, Users could only look up keywords via Android Messages’ search feature which would allow them to find a specific word in contact names as well as message history.

All these new improvements will be rolled out to all Android Messages app users this week, but may not be available for everyone right away. We will keep you informed on any future updates to Android Messages.
