The lightweight version is finally ready to be rolled out, however with a slight different name as expected. A the name suggests, Go version is not that different Operating system than the primary version of android. The software types cannot be distinguished. Google has devoted a team to make sure that Go edition gets updates and released on the same schedule as its standard counterpart.

At an event in India, Google revealed the advantages of new OS system. Google revealed that Android Oreo is based on three tenets: Operating system, Google Apps and Play Store. As far as OS is concerned, Google said that the average app is 15 percent faster on new software. Google also optimized Android Oreo (Go edition), as well as the preinstalled apps, to take up 50 percent less space.
Android Oreo (Go edition) will arrive with nine pre installed apps i.e. Google Go, Google Assistant Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, Gmail Go, Gboard, Google Play, Chrome, and Files Go.
There are rumors that the stable release of Android 8.1 Oreo will start rolling out to users today. Google is keeping its promise to release Android 8.1 to the public by the end of the year. Google does not limit availability of the software to any specific region. Go edition will be available globally launch today.
