Google Maps is Testing Floating Category Bar
Google is always busy in experimenting new things with the interface of Maps app to keep the users engaged and to facilitate them. Recently, it has been reported that Google Maps is now testing a scrolling floating bar of category searches. Which is showing up on the top of the screen.
This scrolling floating bar is placed under the search bar. This floating bar shows all categories such as petrol pumps, pharmacies, hospitals, restaurants, cafes, supermarket and more. when you tap on any one of them, it will show you all the nearby petrol pumps, hospitals markets or any other category according to your requirements.
 Floating Category Bar to Come in Google Maps
This floating bar is available in the latest Google Maps beta version. The new scrolling floating bar has also the layers button on the top left corner.
Google has also revealed multiple new features which are coming to Google Maps. These features were revealed at the Google l/O 2018 developers conference, earlier this month.
Google Maps will get the new features which include You Tab, Group Planning, Google Lens integration, Sharing ETA with friends and Your Match Score. However, among all these features Google Lens is most awaiting feature. Let’s see when will we get to see this new update.
