Google Map Removes Ability to Book Uber Ride Directly From App

Google Maps added the ability to Book Uber Ride Directly From App. It means there was no need to open Uber App to book rides, instead one could book it from Google Maps. This feature was launched back in 2016. This new feature was launched for both Android and iOS.

Now You cannot Book Uber Ride Directly From App

Shockingly this feature was removed without any explanation from Google. When a spokesperson from Uber was asked about the removal of this feature from Google Maps, He said:

“We’re always experimenting with new features for Google Maps. Based on feedback, we determine whether these changes roll out permanently”

Uber Integration is not totally removed from Google Map. One can easily check how much Uber ride will cost on the respective route. However one has to book ride from Uber app directly. In other words, no one is mad to check the estimated amount from Google and then close the app and open Uber app to book ride. All wise people will save their time and book ride from Uber app directly which also give an estimated amount.

It’s possible that Google or Uber could make an official announcement explaining the feature removal, but for now, you’ll have to use the Uber app directly if you want to book a ride through that service.
