Google Maps Highlights Local Business pins While Navigating

Google revealed that people were searching for local businesses all the time by using the keyword “Local” and “Near me”. This keyword was searched for more than 350 times in the last few years. According to Google, this local campaign will drive more business as compared to the actual physical location. According to Google, such pins will also ease consumers who might like to take advantage of their services on way to the destination.

This feature will help businesses to generate more sales. In a blog post, Google clearly revealed that how the shopping ads on their app will benefit small enterprises:

“Shopping ads direct a consumer to a company’s website to purchase an item for delivery. Inventory ads allow consumers to pick up the item they want now, or at a later time, from a physical storefront. Google notes that 45% of global shoppers have used “buy online, pick up in-store” to get items from a local retail location. It currently has 12 billion offers connected to physical stores in 12 countries”

This feature will be launched for both Android and iOS users soon.
