Google Maps Translation Feature Launches for Android and iOS
Gone are days when I had to wander in the streets of Rawalpindi, asking for the address. Many people at that time also misguided me intentionally because it was funny for them. However, Google Maps never does this from the day I installed it on my device. Since that day, it has been facilitating me in every possible way it can. With time, it keeps on improving its services and is getting better day by day assisting its user in a better way than before. This time the company has come up with another exciting feature, i.e., audio translation within Maps for both Android and iOS. Google Maps Translation Feature can be found beside the name of the place. The translator will now say the word loud. In this way, tourists who have a linguistic issue will reach that destination easily.
Google Maps Translation Feature Bridges Communication Gap
The landmarks will carry a small speaker icon that will read that word loud when pressed. Google Maps will also offer a button to get more translations if you want to have a conversation with the local people there. In order to avail this feature, you need to have an updated version of the App.
The app uses text to speech technology that automatically detects what needs to be translated. If you need to have some more translations, the Google translation app will be opened automatically if that is installed yo your device.

This great feature will be supporting more than 50 languages on both Android and Ios. Only time will tell whether it will support Urdu or not. To get this feature, people would have to wait for almost one month.
