Google is prepping to roll out a new update for its Google Messages App very soon. According to the latest reports, we have come to know that, Google Messages v4.1 will soon make its way to the users together with some amazing features. The update will bring Verified SMS Support that will help all the users to eliminate the spam content.

Google Messages Verified SMS Support Will Help To Reduce Spoofing

The new update will bring the most exciting addition. This update will bring support for a great new carrier-level feature called Verified SMS which will help to put an end to scam messages. The all-new thing called Verified SMS is actually a technology that will reduce or eliminate number spoofing. Number spoofing is a technique commonly used by the scammers to impersonate other phone numbers. So, this SMS Verified Support will help to get rid of this spoofing thing. It will allow all the users to get rid of the spam content.

In addition to that, the previous update brought some cool features for the users. Google Messages previous update brought the renaming of group chats, color changes to Unpictured contacts and much more. It made the UI Look More Like Google’s Contacts & Phone Apps. It allows you to simply open the group chat which you want to rename. After doing so, you can tap on the Group Details in the overflow menu. There is a new field at the top of the detail screen where you can rewrite your own group name. After that, the newly assigned name is shown in the conversation list and at the top of the conversation itself. Secondly, it also allows you to change the color of the non-pictured contacts as well.

There had been no official words about the global rollout of the new update. Let’s see when will it make its way to the users.
