Google Play Store Also Getting A Dark Mode

Another hit for the Black-themed feature.

It’s never too late. Finally, the Google Play Store is coming out with a dark mode feature. Google will soon launch a dark mode feature for its Play Store. With the launch of Android 10, Google decided to introduce this feature without interacting with the third-party applications. This feature will enable the user to customize the application’s color theme automatically. But still, a few applications took a lot of time to apply the feature. It seems like they are not ready for this change.

Play Store x Dark Mode

Moreover, the two major applications were the Google Play Store and Gmail. Two days ago, i.e. on 11th September, dark mode feature rolled out on Gmail successfully. However, it ran on Android 10 only. As reported by XDA Developers, this feature will also surface on Google Pixel smartphones. The update is available for a few users but we expect it to get access to everyone out there.

However, if its the first party feature, then it will be available only on Android 10. The Android Pie users will be restricted to use the current version only.

Why Dark Mode?

The dark mode is not heavy on the eyes. It is easier to use a smartphone with a darker background at night. Further, the dark theme uses fewer pixels to lighten up the screens. The white pixels consume more battery than the black ones. Therefore, battery life is extended. Most importantly, dark apps look a lot nicer as compared to bright and white backgrounds. Thus, blessing your apps’ backgrounds. For this exciting feature, Google Android 10 might become the best operating system in the time.
