Google Stop Supporting the Reply App

Google has announced that it will no more support the Reply app. This app was launched earlier this year as an experimental app that allows smart reply responses to different messaging apps including Slack, Hangouts, and Messenger.

The reply came from Google’s Area 120 incubator but it was technically an experiment.

Google Ends Support for the Reply App

Google wrote in an email to beta testers:

“As you know, Reply was an experiment, and that experiment has now ended, While it might still work for the next few months, you may encounter bugs, or see that the suggestions aren’t as good.”

The company has warned in case if you have decided to keep using Reply:
“While it might still work for the next few months, you may encounter bugs, or see that the suggestions aren’t as good. We worked with teams in Google to make sure the ideas and learnings from Reply will live on in other Google products,”
Those users, who were relied on Reply for their messaging will no doubt will be in trouble. Google said that the reply will still continue to work for the next few months but after that, it will stop working. However, Reply was also supposed to roll out a Maps and Calendar integration.
