Google Unveils Nest Hub Max Smart Display

Google unveiled the previously leaked Nest Hub Max at its I/O developer conference. It has a bigger smart display than the Google Home Hub. This new device will be known as the Nest Hub to make things more logical.

As the name of Nest Hub Max shows that it is bigger. The device appears with a 10-inch 1,280×800 touchscreen. The camera section is consist of a 6.5 MP camera with a 127-degree field of view and auto-framing. Moreover, a speaker system comes with 2x18mm 10W tweeters and one 75mm 30W subwoofer. It has far-field microphones and an ambient light sensor. Additionally, the device is backed by Bluetooth 5.0, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Chromecast built-in.

As Google’s device comes with a camera so you can use gestures on the Nest Hub Max. Thanks to the gesture recognition technology, you can look at it and raise your hand in order to pause media. The device comes with facial recognition along with on-device machine learning.

That’s so interesting that once you walk in front of the camera, the Hub Max will recognize you and only show your information, but not anyone else’s from your surroundings. The Assistant will offer personalized recommendations. With the help of Duo, you can do video chat with friends easily.
