We still don’t know much about this. However, the only information that we know is that there will be dedicated facial recognition sensors rather than the current front-facing camera-based solutions. In addition to that, the new facial recognition will fall back onto a PIN, password, or pattern for backup exactly like other existing biometric authentication methods. The new system will be able to be used for purchases, as well.

In addition to that, Google is also prepping to launch the Google Duo for the Web. Google Duo was launched back in 2016. The application features end-to-end encryption and uses phone numbers to set up contacts instead of Google IDs. Moreover, the app comes with some unique features like Knock Knock, which allows users to see the live image of the caller before picking up a call to avoid online harassment or spam callers.

Google revealed that Google Duo, the latest Google app has been downloaded one billion times. Moreover, the rapid increase in downloads is caused by Duo’s expanded support for iPads, Android tablets, Chromebooks, and Smart Displays. So, Google is planning to expand it to the Web as well. According to some sources, Google Duo For Web will Launch Soon. However, it is still unclear that what features the Google Duo For web will offer. Hopefully, Google will provide basic features to the Web users as well.
