According to some reports, Google Will Soon Let you Send Text Messages from Desktop. The feature will provide Android users with an official method of texting back to their loved ones from the desktop.
Last year, the first evidence was spotted as ‘SMS Connect’ on the Chrome OS. Now, some a set of codes have once again hinted on its existence. XDA Developers website was the first one to report this feature of Google. Furthermore, The code was found in Chromium Gerrit repository.

The code explicitly mentions ‘CrOS Android Messages integration’. It elaborates that the SMS Connect feature will be available for ChromeOS users and they can try it out. However, it is still unclear how to use this feature. Moreover, there will be some sort of pairing process with the phone.
However, it is also not for sure when this feature will be available. Also, Google has not confirmed this news yet. But we will update you when we will get more information about this.
