Government Follows Policy for Telecom Facility in Remote Areas

To facilitate remote and rural areas with better communication government of Pakistan has given a share in the recent budget for the fiscal year 2016-17. According to Radio Pakistan quoting official sources, about 12 billion rupees have been allocated in the new budget for provision of telephone services in rural areas.

Government Follows Policy for Telecom Facility in Remote Areas

An organised road map is created to ensure coverage of telecommunication and internet facilities in far spread areas of the country.

The ongoing broadband projects in Southern Telecom Region are expected to provide coverage to over 56 thousand new subscribers in remote areas for the next fiscal year.Furthermore, one hundred and twenty-five educational broadband centers and fifty-five community broadband centers are to be established under these projects with a subsidy of 482.5 million rupees.

Hopefully, with these plans and projects communication would get better in rural area of Pakistan.
