Government Of Pakistan Focuses On Technology For Transformation Towards Tech Driven Economy

We all know that from the very first day, Prime Minister Imran Khan made an announcement that the new government will emphasize on education together with the capitalization of human resource potential. For that purpose, PM Imran Khan constituted a Task Force on Technology-Driven Knowledge economy almost two months back.  Now, it seems that the government is taking certain steps in order to achieve their goals. Recently, a meeting of Task Force was held with PM IK in the chair. The basic aim behind this meeting was to discuss the strategies to promote Technology Driven Economy.

Government Of Pakistan Is Working On Different Strategies For Promotion Of Digitalization

The most important factor that matters a lot in transforming any economy is the promotion of digitalization. That’s why the government is making certain strategies in order to promote the tech-driven economy. The meeting held today was attended by a lot of people. It included Finance Minister Asad Umar, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, IT Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Advisor Commerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Professor Dr. Atta ur Rehman, Dr. Tariq Binori, Mr. Yousaf Hussain, Chairman Ignite, Representatives of Business Community and Industrialists of concerned ministries.

A lot of new ways, means and strategies were discussed in this meeting as well. The first thing that was pointed was the enhanced allocations to higher education because we all know that Education plays an important role in the economic development of a country. It not only raises people’s productivity and creativity but also promotes entrepreneurship and technological advances. Together with this, the Promotion of Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization, Technical Skills and Development of Human resource were also the main topics of discussion in this meeting.

The government is now focusing on shifting towards Technology because it will help to transform the economy and will capitalize on human resource potential. If the government becomes successful in implementing these discussed strategies, then hopefully it will help a lot in promoting the tech-driven economy.
