Here’s Why Huawei Mate RS doesn’t have a Notch

Huawei lovers were not happy to know that Huawei Mate RS doesn’t have a Notch. However, we have come to know that company was against it from the design point of view. The biggest difference between Huawei P2 Pro and Mate RS is the notch.

Huawei Mate RS doesn’t have a notch for some good reason

Huawei gives its users an option to “Turn Off’ the notch but it was not enough. In an interview, Christian Schwamkrug, Huawei design director, said:

“When I saw the notch for the time, I nearly couldn’t believe it. It’s disturbing, from a design philosophy.”

Schwamkrug further added:

“A picture is either rectangular or square, with a border line, and a clear frame format. I like symmetry. We didn’t want to have the notch, we think it’s a compromise.”

The company also carried a survey, users companies that the notch destroy the overall symmetry of the screen and it disturbs when someone is watching videos and playing games.

However, about P20 Pro, people were comfortable using it with a notch and complimented the design of the device by saying that notch doesn’t matter.

The notch isn’t the only place where the Huawei Mate RS differs from the P20 Pro. On the Porsche Design phone, the three cameras and the fingerprint sensors on the back of the phone are aligned in the center. The Porsche Design Mate RS also features an in-display fingerprint sensor, as well as an option for 512 GB of storage.
