The upcoming Honor Magic9 Pro Max has reportedly appeared in the Geekbench database, revealing some key details about its hardware. The listing gives an early look at the phone’s chipset, RAM, and software ahead of its official launch.

Honor Magic9 Pro Max Geekbench Listing Reveals Chipset and 16GB RAM

The Honor Magic9 Pro Max prototype tested on Geekbench came with 16GB of RAM. The phone was also running Android 17, suggesting that the final device could launch with the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system.

Honor could offer the Magic9 Pro Max in additional memory configurations when it reaches the market. However, the 16GB version confirms that the company is targeting high-end performance with its top Magic9 model.

The benchmark was conducted using Geekbench 6.7.1. The results should not be directly compared with scores from Geekbench 7 because the two versions use different testing methods.

It is also important to remember that the tested phone was a prototype. Its hardware and software may not represent the final retail version.

Powerful Camera Setup Expected

The Magic9 Pro Max is expected to sit at the top of Honor’s upcoming Magic9 lineup. The company has already confirmed that the series will officially launch on September 28, 2026.

The Pro Max model is expected to feature an advanced camera system developed in partnership with ARRI. The main camera is reportedly a 200MP sensor with a 1/1.28-inch sensor size.

The phone is also expected to feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with a larger 1/1.4-inch type sensor. An ultrawide camera is also expected to complete the rear camera setup.

These specifications would make the camera system one of the major highlights of the Magic9 Pro Max.

3D Face Unlock and New MagicOS

On the front, Honor is expected to continue using its 3D face-unlocking technology. Reports have also suggested that the phone could introduce a square-shaped selfie sensor, which would give the front camera setup a different design from many existing Android smartphones.

The Magic9 Pro Max is also expected to debut MagicOS 11, Honor’s next major software version. The combination of Android 17 and the new MagicOS interface should bring the phone updated software features alongside its flagship hardware.

Official Launch Is Coming Soon

With the Geekbench appearance, more details about the Honor Magic9 Pro Max are beginning to emerge ahead of its launch.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, 16GB RAM, and Android 17 listing point to a high-end configuration. However, the benchmark listing is based on a prototype, so some specifications could change before the phone reaches consumers.

Honor is expected to reveal the complete specifications, pricing, and availability of the Magic9 Pro Max when the Magic9 series officially launches on September 28.
