HTC announces ICS-based dual-SIM Desire V and Desire VC

HTC has announced its first dual-SIM phone; the Desire V alongside a dedicated dual-mode version for China called Desire VC.

There is little difference in the specifications of the Desire V and Desire VC apart from the network support. Desire V supports tri-band GSM on its secondary slot and quad-band GSM/EDGE + dual-band HSPA on the primary SIM-1 slot while the Desire VC on the other hand is a CDMA/EVDO phone with a SIM card slot for tri-band GSM support.

HTC Desire V/VC packs quite a punch with their stunning display and a vast array of features and functionalities. The operating system on these smartphones is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is skinned with HTC Sense 4.0 UI. The very popular ‘Beats Audio’ enhancements are also included.
HTC Desire V will launch in Asia in early July and will probably premiere worldwide soon after. The estimated price for the Desire V would be at Rs. 33,000 ($345) while the Desire VC is estimated to be around Rs. 30,000 ($318).
