According to Bloomberg, HTC has said it will halt trading on Thursday “pending a major announcement.” This, by all accounts, will be to reveal its acquisition by Google.

HTC was one of the more popular smartphone makers in the United States. But later on due to its unsuccessful smartphone launches, it has loses its reputation. Moreover, HTC was developing Google’s pixel smartphones. This move will be beneficial for Google to buy its customer.
