This Cosmos headset does not need external sensors. Further, it implies fully tracked, motion controllers. This time, HTC has leveled up its LCD panels. It has a 2880 x 1700 resolution and even a 90Hz refreshing rate. Further, it has a 110-degree field-of-value.

However, today, the company is releasing the External Tracking Mod. It allows the user to use Vive Cosmos with an existing Lighthouse base station. In this way, a user will get a 360-degree tracking and support for the Vive Tracker. Vive Wireless Adapter can also be connected to Cosmos.

HTC Vive Cosmos is the very first company to have a VR headset to get shipped with HTC’s latest system. The system is known as the Vive Reality system. The company has successfully developed a user interface dubbed lens. These lenses enable the users to track XR Viveport Infinity apps. Moreover, HTC is also gathering up yearly Viveport Infinity subscription. The VR headset will launch on 3rd October. Hence, people can place orders from 2nd October as well. The Cosmos will start its shipping from the launch date. It will cost around $700.
