Huawei launches a smartphone in the name of Huawei Honor 7i. Honor 7i has two flavors with the difference in the speed for the most part. Huawei Honor 7i is a recent successor of Huawei Honor 7The chipset is of Qualcomm which makes it a reliable and durable smartphone which works fine, executes fast and consumes less battery which in short boosts Huawei and giving it a better rank that helps Huawei acquire and maintain the second top most position. Huawei Honor 7i Review shows the specifications, features, speed, reliability and pros along with cons in detail.

Honor 7i is a 4G LTE enabled smartphone with 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa core processor that makes it a high end smartphone. Another shocking thing is that Honor 7i comes in two flavors in accordance with the speed. The RAM for one flavor is 2GB and 3GB for the other flavor. Also the ROM varies in both the flavors. The one having 2GB RAM is send with 16GB ROM and the one with 3GB RAM has a total of 32GB as its internal memory. Security is also an issue in the Android smartphones and Huawei Honor 7i has a fingerprint scanner along its left side that comes perfect for your pointing finger just to recognize the actual owner.

All that glitters is not gold, unlike other brands, Huawei also have certain cons in relation to its pros which are discussed in the section below.

Pros:
  • Honor 7i has an Octacore processor which is clocked at 1.5GHz which runs fast, executes fast and works smooth.
  • 2GB of RAM which is faster and huge enough to support heavy apps and run first class games with ease.
  • Internal memory of 16GB that can be used for storing a lot of apps, games and storing media files etc.
  • Finger print security which is a great measure maintaining better security nowadays.
  • 13MP Rear camera that has the rotating ability of up to 180 degrees, so you can have best selfies with the Rear camera.
  • High wear Resistant Aluminium frame around the body gives better strength to our Huawei Honor 7i.
  • A screen of 5.2″ with higher screen to body ratio that makes Huawei Honor 7i a handy one.
  • Last but not the least is the sound producing speakers which has the best beats and base for you to enjoy the real taste of songs and tones.
Cons:
  • No NFC included.
  • Every smartphone with rotating modules become shaky and lose after some time.
  • Huawei are expensive smartphones and with these specs, One could have a better smartphone with better benchmarking position over the board.

Design and Display of Huawei Honor 7i:

No doubt Huawei are class devices and once a user is used to its use, will not spend money on other devices. Honor 7i has a point to point flat surface that makes it handy and looks nice. The 5.2 inches display has better screen to body ratio that makes Honor 7i a perfect module. The sides are guarded with high wear resistant aluminium frame that absorbs shocks and keeps the internals safe. The bezel around the corners keeps the screen which itself is guarded with corning gorilla glass which is one of the finest and best shocks absorbing material.

The size of the display of Huawei Honor 7i is 5.2 inches and the type is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 16M colors. The screen to body ratio is almost 74% which gives a bigger screen to the so called handy Honor 7i. The screen refreshing rate is 60 frames per second and the resolution support is 1080 x 1776 pixels with 403 ppi at both the x-axis and y-axis. Screen supports up to 10 fingers touch consecutively.

Processor of Huawei Honor 7i:

Huawei Honor 7i has been powered with one of the most expensive and reliable chip-set manufacturing company’s, The Qualcomm. The manufacture is different from that of a single chip containing 8 cores. Instead, Huawei Honor 7i has two Quad core processors (2 x Quadcore) making it an Octacore in combination. One processor behaves different than the other because the speed of one processor is different than the other. The chip set is Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 and the speed of the first core is 1.5 GHz with a frequency variation of 200MHz and 1.5GHz. The other processor has a comparatively slower speed and its maximum frequency is 1.21 GHz. The renderer for graphics in Huawei Honor 7i is Adreno (TM) 405.

Checking for the stability of Huawei Honor 7i, we obtained the following chip. Which shows the stability and the temperature chart as shown in the figure below. The stability chart varies in between 70 and 80 which proves the stability and reliability of Honor 7i. On the other hand checking for the temperature rise after undertaking the smartphone with a heavy test reveals that the temperature rise was just 3 degrees. This further clarifies the stability and proves that Huawei Honor 7i, with its smaller change in temperature reflects better stability.

The manufacturer of internal memory is of Samsung and can also be expanded to 128GB with a memory card. So the choice is yours now. The better the RAM and ROM, the better the performance.

Huawei Honor 7i has a single multi-functional camera with rotating lens which can be rotated for capturing multi dimensional images and videos. The power of its mono camera is 13MP and the dual LED dual tone flash is fixed at the rotating arm which works with the camera. So you can have a 13MP snap with a group with its camera at the rear side and you can have a selfie cam with 13MP along with the dual flash LED light for capturing selfie images. The dimensions of its images are 4208 x 3120 pixels. The camera also has the Autofocus sensor. The features contain Rotating lens, touch-focus, geo-tagging, face detection, HDR, panorama etc. You can also capture high definition videos with 30 frames per second and with 1080 pixels.

The enhanced display and EMUI (Emotion User Interface) which is the customized OS for almost every Huawei smartphone works amazing and super fast with better garbage collection management and keeping the OS alive with the best approach. The icon are super smooth and look nice as if they are bulged out of the screen. The OS is Android OS 5.1.1 with API level of 22.

Score of 1734 for the multi core and score of almost 1200 for its metal part is a better total and gives Huawei Honor 7i with a better total as shown in the images below.

The screen resolution normalized score for both devices is almost the same and the number of frames for both Huawei Honor 7i and Alcatel 6045Y are 35 frames per second.

Huawei are reliable, fast and durable devices for its speed, performance and battery in special. The battery lasts for days like other Huawei smartphones like Huawei G7, Mate 7 and others that works for almost two days. The only thing is the price. The Huawei devices are expensive and one can get a smartphone with the same specifications in the sharp market of Pakistan for smartphones in a much much reasonable price.
