Huawei is back in 2017 with its latest hand set with some more interesting features and specifications. Today we will reveal the review of ”Huawei Y3 ” which is available in Pakistan with the price range of PKR.12,999/-. Huawei is becoming center of attention for majority android users because of its affordability and reliability. Let’s have a complete look at Huawei Y3 Review in detail.

The Y3 runs android version 6.0 (Marshmallow) while the camera section has 8MP lens for its back camera while the front one has 2MP lens. Power house is packed with non removable battery of 2200 mAh.

Display:

Huawei y3 is  5.0 inches’ device with the supportive resolutions of 854 x 480 pixels. The pixel density is 240 dpi that shows it has clear visibility of icons and texts.

As we all know that Huawei has the finest display as compare to all other smart phones. Y3 has perfect display screen according to color accuracy, icons management.

It is using graphic card of Mali-T720MP2 that is perfect graphic card for the mid-range smart phones. It increases the efficiency of graphics almost 30% more than any other graphic card.

Design:

Huawei Y3 features a 5.0 inches IPS LCD screen and comes with the dimensions of 145.1 x 73.7 x 9.5 mm with 64% approx. screen to body ratio. Whereas the device weighs around 175 grams- a heavy weight device comparatively.

Talking about the front design of Huawei Y3, we have of course an ear piece in the center. To the left side, there’s a front camera and that’s it.The front side is all covered with silver layers on all four edges.

On the right edge, the device has a volume and power buttons where as left edge has also one button. Down side has micro-usb connector and speakers whereas top side has audio jack of 3.5 mm on it.

Back Body is totally simple and plain, it has just back camera lens of 8MP on it with LED flash light. Rest of the body has only Huawei name on it otherwise it is totally simple.

Back Camera:

With all other great features, Huawei Y3 gives us an 8MP back camera. This 8 MP camera also features a LED flash light. The camera is however satisfactory, but it captures great pictures in low light. The camera can flexibly adjust itself to capture photos at night and produces stunning pictures.

It can record videos in 1080 pixels quality. Additionally, the camera comes with some built in modes like HDR and panorama etc.

Front Camera:

Talking about the front camera it has a 2 MP result and captures average images in low light as well as high light. You can take benefit of this amazing camera and talk to your loved ones on Skype or take selfies anytime, anywhere you want.

Memory:

Huawei y3 has disappointed us with its memory section because it has 16GB internal memory which should be at least 32GB. 16GB internal memory without memory card is not enough at all to use it freely without any worry.

If we like to have a lot of applications and videos, then we must insert memory card otherwise 16GB will be full within in few times. 2GB RAM is good choice for mid-range device and we have tested Huawei Y3 and got no delays and lags.

Network/Connectivity:

The Huawei Y3 is LTE supported device with the access of 3G and 2G network also. It supports all the bandwidths of networks in Pakistan.

Y3 is also capable of some other connectivity’s such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, memory card and dual-SIM support. It has Radio access while the Wi-Fi supports the standards of 802.11 b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot. Bluetooth version is 4.0 while SIM jacket and memory card has separate place.

Battery:

The Y3 has removable battery of 2200 mAh. It is present inside the removable back cover and Huawei has provided has good big battery with enough efficient timings.

It has quad-core chip set with 5.0 inches’ screen size and media tek chipset so all things work for battery saving functionality. We have tested the battery power of hauwei y3 and it has provided has enough efficient time to play with it. Excessive usage of 3G/4G and games will drain the battery very quickly.

Interface:

The Huawei Y3 runs android version 6.0 (Marshmallow) with the interface of Emotion UI 4.1. It should have latest android version 7.0 (nougat) and up til now we have not received any update regarding nougat version. Still its interface is one of the best and organized interfaces as compare to Infinix and QMobile devices.

The main screen has date and time widget at its top while below to it we have Google search bar. After it some applications are arranged in the form of rows and columns. It doesn’t have any application manager separate just a slider bar is available to access all the applications.

Many bloatware applications are already installed on it such as files, phone manager, mirror etc. Themes application is also available via which we can change the color and display of Huawei Y3.

Processor:

Huawei Y3 has a 1.3 GHz Quad-core processor and contains a chipset of Media Tek MT6737T. This chipset is based on the architecture of ARM Cortex-A53. Furthermore, it has a 1 GB RAM which might make it a little hard to perform multitasking. While doing so, the phone might get stuck.

Antutu Bench Marking:

Antutu Bench marking has played an important role to check the device performance. We have tested it and it has scored 24976 points which is very satisfactory.

Vellamo Bench Marking:

Vellamo Bench marking conducts three tests which are multi-core test, metal test and chrome browser test. Multi-core test has scored 1204 points, metal has scored 789 points and chrome browser scored 518 points.

Conclusion:

Huawei Y3 has not impressed us much because it has weak memory and bad camera results. It has only 1 GB which is too less as compare to other smart phones because it gets stuck while doing multi-tasking. Other features are also not impressive at all.
