I’ve had this phone for some months now. Don’t like it:
1. Stopped connecting to PC via USB cable.
2. Don’t manage to send files via bluetooth to my PC (function either does not work or has been made so complicated that requires more than advanced user skills). Devices make a pair, but that’s it, I don’t see phone’s folders in my PC.
3. (This is the biggest con) The predictive text input (challenging language: Finnish) performs very poorly, at least compared to my former phone, Lumia. It knows the vocabulary poorly, propose completely improbable words and don’t learn the phrases (from user’s earlier writings). I don’t know what the general level here, maybe Lumia just performed extraordinary excellently.
I had problems with this at first but once I played around with settings was able to figure it out
Are you saying that you also had _all_these_three_ problems but you managed to solve them all by playing around settings?
The connecting to PC problem. When you connect the phone to the PC Windows itself should try and install software. Make sure you do that. The phone should automatically prompt you to install HiSuite software too. I had problems with permissions in the software but when I looked on my phone notifications there was an option to select and allow photos or files to transfer. Once I set that to what I wanted I was able to transfer files fine.
Can you please advice from which menu path you found the setting for file transfer…
On the phone you mean? When you pull your finger down from the top to reveal notifications
Yes, on the phone.
You should have a ‘USB connected’ notification
Yes, I should have. But I don’t have. No notification.
Dunno how else to help you, have you researched your problem on the net? You’re probably not the first to have it
I think the phone has gone broken, and I need to bring it to (warranty) service…
hi, why does my huawei only appears 3G HSPA+ only? i bought lte sim but still the signal is HSPA+ Thanks
I accidentally press or whatever I did to my huawei y5ii and it turns out it goes to “Hidden Pictures Application” , I was amazed but I can’t it how did I do that again ? 🙁
just got the phone…its awesome
Thank you for mentioning about “Night time” capability of this Phone.
I am interested in smart phones which offer “long exposure” (i.e. control over shutter speed in budget range to perform “Light painting”).
It would be very nice of you to mention this aspect in your future reviews.
