Huawei Y9s Full Review: A Mid-Range Smartphone With Extra Ordinary Features

Huawei has become one of the leading company in the smartphone world. The reason for its success is the innovation which it brings in the smartphones and the affordable price. Most recently, the company has launched a new masterpiece, Y9s. It is the latest model of the Y series of Huawei. Y9s has just entered the market and amazed everyone. Because it has some outstanding features and an affordable price. Therefore, I am going to write a detailed review of the Huawei Y9s to really prove that it has some brilliant specs.

Lets start with the Design.

Design:

Y9s has a sleek and decent design. It has a dark black illuminating color. That makes it very charming. On the front side, there is speaker and a mike for attending calls. Apart from it, the front side is simple but catchy. The right edge of the smartphone is comprised of power button and volume keys. There is a charging port, audio jack and a speaker on the downside edge of the smartphone. On the upper edge, there is a shared MicroSD and sim slots. Along with it, there is a pop-up selfie camera. The Back side of the smartphone is equipped with a Triple Rear camera and a flashlight.

Display:

Y9s has LTPS IPS LCD Capacitive multi Touchscreen. The size of the screen is 6.6 inches. The resolution which it provides is 1080 x 2340 Pixels. That is considered as Full HD. Along with that, it has vibrant and bright colors.

Y9s has a triple rear camera. The resolution of the camera is 48 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.0″, PDAF + 8 MP, f/2.4, 13mm (ultrawide) + 2 MP, f/2.4, (depth sensor). There is an LED flash. Adding to that, there are some extra features as well. Like Phase detection, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, and HDR. The photo quality of the smartphone is quite impressive.

Front camera:

Huawei Y9s is equipped with a 16 MP Motorized pop-up front camera. The resolution for video making is 1080p@60fps.

Memory: 

Y9s has a 128GB Built-in storage space. It has a micro SD option as well. The smartphone has a 6GB RAM. Therefore, we can assume that for a normal user, this memory is enough.

Operating System and Performance:

The operating system in Huawei Y9s is Android 9.0 (Pie). The user interface UI is EMUI 9.0. There is an Octa-core (4 x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A73 + 4 x 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53) processor. The Chipset installed in the smartphone is Hisilicon Kirin 710F. Overall, the performance of the phone is quite impressive.

Battery:

Huawei Y9s has a Li-Po Non removable 4000 mAh battery.

Connectivity:

The WLAN options in the Y9s are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and Hotspot. The Bluetooth installed in the phone is v4.2 with A2DP, LE. Along with these, there is a GPS and USB option. The data options in Y9s are GPRS, EDGE, 3G and LTE.

Extra Features:

Y9s has some extra features under its belt as well. These include Accelerometer, Compass, Proximity, Gyro, Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic, Photo/video editor and Document editor. There are some built-in games as well.

Security Features:

Huawei Y9s has a list of security features. There is a phone lock, pattern lock and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner.

Accessories:

Y9s comes with a full box. There is a 10W charger, earphones and a back plastic cover for protection.

After the above discussion, it is evident that Huawei Y9s has some extra-ordinary features. Both the cameras exhibit good quality. All other specs are also impressive. Particularly, its design and performance. Therefore, I would speak in support of Y9s. Its a worthy smartphone to purchase.
