Huawei’s Honor 8 Will Not Support the Android 8.0 Oreo Update

Huawei Honor 8 was launched in 2016. It was a smartphone with mid-range specs but is packed with so many features yet. However, it is in the news that the Android 8.0 Oreo won’t arrive for the phone. Huawei’s Honor 8 Will Not Support the Android 8.0 Oreo Update.

That is not a good news for those who have the handset of Huawei Honor 8 and was hoping to see Android 8.0 Oreo. So the users of handset will be definitely disappointed as Huawei has confirmed that.

Huawei’s Honor 8 Will Not Support the Android 8.0 Oreo Update

Honor India account has tweeted that a company rep has confirmed that the phone will not be eligible for the Oreo update due to the limitations of hardware and software.

The statement reads:

“we can understand your concern. However, we regret to inform you that Honor 8 is not compatible for Android Oreo update due to hardware and software limitations. We always work for our customers and we are really glad to have you as an Honor customer. Inconvenience is regretted.”

Back in October 2017, the company were suggesting that they were looking into that possibility. But now it is very disappointing that company is not going to do anything in this regard.

  1. Time to say good bye to Huawei for good. There are other good Chinese phones like Xiaomi, One Plus and OPPO and you can get to use your phone by using custom ROMs.
