ICT R&D Fund Board Accepts Resignation of CEO Asif Rumi

During the 43rd Board of Directors meeting of ICT R&D Fund, CEO ICT R&D fund Syed Muhammad Asif Rumi presented his resignation to the board.  The board meeting held yesterday in MoIT under the chairperson-ship of Minister of State for IT & Telecom Mrs. Anusha Rehman and attended by Federal Secretary IT Mr. Azmat Ali Ranjha, Chairman PTA Dr. Ismail Shah, Member Telecom Member HR Tahir Mushtaq, Mr. Mudassar Hussain and some other board members were also present in the meeting.

ICT R&D Fund Board Accepts Resignation of CEO Asif Rumi in 43rd BoD Meeting

Mr. Asif Rumi has joined ICT R&D Fund as CEO in last January, 2015. He contributed through his services for almost 1 year in the organization as CEO. Mr. Rumi has sighted personal reasons of career pursuits for resignation from ICT R&D Fund. The BoD after mutual consultations accepted his resignation.

In order to ensure the smooth functioning of organization, the BoD directed to launch a fully transparent advertisement process for hiring the new CEO as soon as possible. Whereas, Chairman PTA Syed Ismail Shah has been given the additional charge of the CEO of the Company for the interim period.

Minister Mrs. Anusha Rehman highly appreciated the services of  Mr. Asif Raza which he has rendered during last 1 year of his tenure. On this occasion Mr. Asif Rumi said that:

“It was a wonderful experience of his career to work as CEO of ICT R&D Fund Company under a comprehensive advice and guidance of the chairperson and the board and this one year experience would surely help him a lot on many counts in his career.”
