Imran Khan Becomes the 7th Most Followed Leader of the World on Twitter

Pakistan’s would-be Prime Minister Imran Khan becomes the 7th most followed leader of the world on Twitter. The number of followers on his twitter account surpassed the 8 million mark.

The former cricketer who is frequently referred to as ‘Facebook Khan’ for being actively hooked to the virtual world, is expected to go higher up the list after he takes oath as the new Prime Minister of the country on August 11th, 2018.

US President Donald Trump with 53.4 million followers is the top most followed leader. India Prime Minister Narendra Modi (43.3 million) is second in the lead. Pope Francis (17.7 million) is third. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the fourth biggest leader with 13.1 million followers in the Twitter world.

A social entrepreneur has launched a website named Khan Meter in order to keep track of PTI’s 100-day agenda. Khan Meter will basically monitor the initiatives promised by Chairman PTI, Imran Khan. Khan Meter is divided into the number of passing days, and PTI’s goals that are either in progress, achieved or broken.
