Instagram Adds a Request Button to Join Someone’s Live Stream

Instagram has just introduced a new feature for its live streaming product. Now users can ask to join love stream of their friends which they are watching. It means now you can spoil your friend’s live stream to keep the fun factor alive in you. Instagram Adds a Request Button to Join Someone’s Live Stream.

If you have requested to join someone’s live stream on Instagram and he accepts it, you will start broadcasting live as a guest host. To me this is a very funny feature to interrupt other as people will definitely get annoyed when they receive many requests in live stream.

If you want to request to join a live video, you should tap on a request button in the comment section below. Upon tapping it, a host will see the request in real time. The host has the option to accept or deny. He also have access to pending list of requests if many people are requesting for the same live stream.

Previously Instagram allowed a host of live streaming video to invite friends to join them. However now they have expanded the live streaming feature of Instagram.

Well on serious not this is a stupid feature. What if some celebrity is live streaming and receiving loads of requests from its fans. However this feature can be constructively utilized. What if a celebrity host pick a fan in his live stream who made the best comment in chat.

What if someone said something inappropriate when they join the live stream. There are many questions in my mind which will be answered in a couple of weeks when this feature will be used extensively.

May be Instagram will soon build a a feature like 2 or 3 seconds delay that will allow host to boot the guest if he said something inappropriate. Lets see what Instagram has further planned for it.
