Instagram for Windows Phone to Shut Down on April 30
So if you opened the Instagram app on Windows 10 Mobile today, you will notice that there is a message saying that the app will be discontinued on April 30. This message was first spotted by Reddit users, who have suggested alternatives, such as Winsta, to take the dedicated Instagram app’s place.
Windows Phone users on Reddit have reported that they received a notification which is indicating that Instagram would pull its app on April 30th.
This change will definitely affect the Window 10 users but users can pin the Instagram web app to the start screen of their Windows app and use it just like the normal Instagram app. Users can also go for third-party alternative apps such as Winsta and 6Tag. Built with Facebook’s own cross-platform development tools, this change is not gonna affect the PC version.
