Instagram is Testing a New ‘Type’ Feature for Stories

Instagram is continuously adding new features and also keep updating its Stories feature with new additions for the amusement of the users. Recently we came to know about new feature added to Instagram Story, in which story posted on Instagram will be posted as a WhatsApp status. Instagram is Testing a New ‘Type’ Feature for Stories.

According to a report at The Next Web, now there is the latest Stories addition on Instagram called Type, which allows you a number of new fonts to type your message across a background or photo as part of your Story. There are several fonts to choose from. It will allows you to be a bit more text-focused when posting a Story on the photo sharing service.

Instagram is Testing a New ‘Type’ Feature for Stories

The feature is not very different from other features in Instagram. According to the report, the Type feature shows up as an option alongside the usual features like Boomerang, Superzoom, and Rewind. 

It is reported that the feature is reportedly meant to encourage users to share more text-based clips, but it is unclear how it would be significantly different from simply taking a photo and using the existing text tool to add words on top.
