Whereas Instagram first debuted on Windows 10 Mobile back in April, the app was restricted to Microsoft’s mobile phones. Instagram’s Windows 10 app is a worldwide app and it’s now making its way to PCs and tablets as a result. Instagram has still not made a personalized app for the iPad, and Apple’s tablet users have to use an unoptimized iPhone version.

According to the official press by Instagram, for tablet users, it comprises the basic features Instagram Stories, Direct and Explore. Moreover, users will be able to take, edit and share their pictures directly via the tablet devices.

This application entails a rear camera and a touch screen for PC and laptop users, which majority do not have. It might come as a pest for brands and media organizations, who would have valued to edit and directly share their pictures on Instagram. But honestly, the application has very restricted usage competences on desktop and laptops.

The familiar Instagram features are all supported in Instagram for Windows 10, including access to Instagram Stories, Direct, and Explore.

It can be anticipated that Instagram will further work to make the application fully compatible with desktop and laptops. Till then, you will have to go with the current version. Users can download Instagram for Windows 10 PCs from Microsoft’s Windows Store.
