Instagram to Launch New Feature ‘Regram’

The Facebook-owned social media app Instagram has confirmed that it is testing an option that lets you share public feed posts from other users to your Story. Instagram to Launch New Feature ‘Regram’.

This new feature will allow the users to add commentary and overlaid stickers to a meme, celebrity post or even a friend’s photo. Instagram gave the confirmation of test to TechCrunch. The company said that the feature is currently only testing with a small percentage of users. This feature might make its way to everyone with the next official update.

According to TechCrunch that for the purpose of privacy, users with public accounts can go to their Settings to turn off the ability for others to reshare their posts. Even if you don’t have the reshare option yet, you can still find the privacy setting now.

The company stated that:

“We’re always testing ways to make it easier to share any moment with friends on Instagram.”

It was rumored that Instagram is testing a Regram button for sharing feed posts back to the feed, but that appears to have been false. Tagging friends in posts and memes has become one of Instagram’s most prominent feature.
