Instagram’s New Update lets you Save your favorite Stories

Instagram is now letting all users to save their favorite Stories. In past, it was not possible to save your Stories more than 24 hours, but now Instagram will automatically save all of your Stories. Instagram’s new Update lets you Save your favorite Stories.

You have to just tap on the Archive icon on your profile, to see any of your saved Stories. You will see a new Stories archive alongside your Posts archive, with the most recent stories placed at the bottom of the grid.

There will be date label on each story. In your profile settings you can disable archiving your Stories at any time. Instagram Stories is more popular than all of Snapchat.

 Instagram Product Lead Robby Stein said:

“We really want to make sure that we can give you the best of both worlds where you can share, it goes away, and you feel good about that, but then you can also retain the value for yourself or your profile later on,”

Only you will be able to see any of saved Instagram Stories, but with the new Stories Highlights feature, you can also choose to show some of them off to anyone .

The update shows how serious Instagram is about Stories. This update is rolling out in Instagram version 25 for Android and iOS.
