The company also said about the technology used in 5G network which is millimeter wave technology to experience super fast 5G network. As compared to 4G technology, this technology is 40 times faster. AT&T is also being able to achieve speeds of over 1 gigabit per second with this technology. We can say that this is, no doubt, equal to the astronomical speed. The company also claims that with this 5G speed, a consumer can download a TV episode in less than 3 seconds.

Talking about its testing process, the company will test multiple use cases for its gigabit internet. In those test cases, they will use internet access, VPN, Unified Communications applications. The company is also excited to show 4K video streams with super fast 5G network. The company is also hoping to revolutionize the world via new 15 and 28GHz spectrum VoIP.

However, AT&T has not provide any time-frame about the launch of 5G technology. Different companies have working on the 5G network. Verizon, Samsung and Qualcomm has also reportedly working on 5G technology. Let’s see who will win the race by introducing the 5G technology first.

Recently, Qualcomm has Announced First Gigabit 5G Modem X50. It is Qualcomm Technologies’ first 5G modem. Qualcomm guarantees that this device will help usher in a new generation of cellular services. X50 works on the 28 GHz millimeter-wave spectrum. Th3 5G modem also supports 8x100MHz carrier aggregation to deliver 800MHz of spectrum. Qualcomm will begin sampling Snapdragon X50 in the second half of 2017.
