Now iOS users will not be able to save WhatsApp profile photos, as the messaging app has removed the ability to save profile pictures of individual contacts on iPhone in the latest beta version. Earlier, the beta version for Android also removed the ability to save profile pictures.

So, now the WhatsApp users will not be able to save WhatsApp profile photo of any individual on to their devices. This act of WhatsApp is appreciable and inspirable, as it is a healthy step towards the users’ privacy and they will feel now more protected.
The new beta app version 2.19.60.26 of WhatsApp for iPhone comes via the TestFlight program with the ability to remove the possibility to copy, save and export the profile picture of individuals. This new change was first spotted by WABetaInfo, it reported that the feature is still working for groups and you can save group icons. However, the same feature is now not working in WhatsApp Business beta for iOS 2.19.60.5 and Android Beta 2.19.143 a few weeks ago.
However, the latest WhatsApp beta 2.19.60.26 for iPhone also comes with album improvements and tweaks in audio export format. Now users will be able to see the total size of the album and the number of items with this tweak feature. You can see the change in the below image.
