iPhone 9 may Land with Gigabit LTE Support & Dual SIMs
Once again a rumor is spread by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that Apple’s upcoming 2018 iPhones will feature upgraded liquid crystal polymer (LCP) antenna modules that will contribute to faster LTE transmission speeds. And this new addition might come with dual SIMs. iPhone 9 May Land with Gigabit LTE Support & Dual SIMs.
Apple can name the next iPhone anything it wants. That could be iPhone 9, iPhone X2, iPhone Edition, and iPhone Pro. It’s purely there own decision, but for simplicity we will call it iPhone 9.
iPhone 9 May Land with Gigabit LTE Support & Dual SIMs
While a majority of the dual-SIM smartphones come with LTE+3G connectivity support, but the iPhone 9 handset will be able to handle LTE+LTE connectivity. This new iPhone 9 won’t only offer faster LTE transmission speed, but will also support dual-SIM dual standby.
Kuo Claimed that the new iPhone 9 will use at least two LCP LTE antenna modules, as used in iPhone X, but with improvements to support 4×4 MIMO standards.
Kuo also reported that:
Antenna design upgrade a key factor in anticipated boost to LTE transmission speed in new 2H18F iPhone models. As a LTE antenna FPCB material, LCP is superior to PI in properties related to high-frequency, thermal performance and moisture resistance. We predict 2H18 new iPhones will be equipped with two LCP LTE antenna modules same as iPhone X or more, but with higher specs to support 4×4 MIMO standards
Kuo has also said that Apple is working on a total of three iPhones for next year, including a 5.8-inch OLED model, a 6.5-inch OLED model and a new 6.1-inch LCD model.
