Islamabad’s Notorious Mobile Phone Snatching Gang Arrested

The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have arrested two alleged members of a notorious mobile snatching gang during a successful operation led by the Tarnol police station team. The identified suspects Gul Yaseen and Adnan, were arrested on Thursday with the recovery of stolen expensive mobile phones, a motorbike, and a weapon used in their criminal activities.

The police have registered FIRs against the detainees, and further investigations are underway to locate potential accomplices and additional crimes linked to the gang.

According to a police spokesperson, the Tarnol team employed both technical and human resources to track and arrest the accused. They were reportedly involved in numerous snatching incidents in Tarnol and surrounding areas. The operation also led to the confiscation of ammunition alongside the recovered items.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Ali Raza lauded the Tarnol police and ordered officers to intensify crackdowns on individuals involved in criminal activities. He emphasized that no criminal element disrupting the capital cityโ€™s peace would be tolerated.

Meanwhile, the citizens have been advised to stay vigilant and report suspicious activities via the emergency helpline Pukar-15, ensuring community safety and swift police action.
