IT Development is Imperative for National Progress- Rana Tanveer Hussain

Federal Minister for Defence Production, Science and Technology, Rana Tanveer Hussain said that information technology has fundamental role in present world. The prosperous nations are the ones that have opted the latest technological trends in the world.  Hence, our progress is also linked to the advanced technology in order to cope with challenges of the modern world.

He said this at a seminar on ‘Role of Information Technology in Education’; organized by University Institute of Information Technology of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi here on Monday.

The Government is highly concerned about this matter and trying its best to exploit more and new technologies. He said one such example is the launch of 3G and 4G in Pakistan.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of IT for national development and asked the educational institutions of Pakistan to cooperate with the Government to achieve desired results. He said:
