IT Ministry Inks MoU with Huawei at MWC-18

At the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona, Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecom through the Universal Service Fund (USF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Huawei. IT Ministry Inks MoU with Huawei at MWC-18.

On Tuesday, Chief Technology Officer USF Syed Asif Kamal signed the MOU with the representative of Huawei. USF was established by the IT Ministry, which aims to promote the development of telecommunication services across Pakistan.

Through USF programs, Huawei will contribute towards digital development in Pakistan via this MOU. Through appropriate utilization of its expertise in program design, training and sharing successful experiences of its national ICT portfolio across infrastructure broadband services, vertical public services and intelligent digital platforms, Huawei will  spread the benefits of the telecom revolution to all over the Pakistan.

The IT Minister said on this occasion:

That Huawei will provide the requisite expertise to MoIT through USF to develop National ICT services execution strategy, support Joint Innovation center (JIC) for empowering women benefiting from the USF ICT for Girls program and support and encouragement for the top three best performing graduates.

Anusha Rahman Khan also stated that Huawei’s partnership will further upgrade the effectiveness of projects and will go a long way in socio-economic development of the people of Pakistan.
