Jungkook Becomes Most-Mentioned Singer on X in 2026, Surpassing Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber

BTS member Jungkook has reached another major milestone on social media. Jungkook has become the most-mentioned singer on X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2026, placing him ahead of several internationally famous musicians.
According to the World Music Awards (WMA), Jungkook received more than 2.6 million mentions on X between January 1 and July 31, 2026. This placed him at the top of the ranking of the most-mentioned singers on the platform.
Michael Jackson took second place with around 2.4 million mentions, while Drake ranked third with 2.1 million. Bad Bunny followed with 1.7 million mentions. Justin Bieber ranked sixth with 1.5 million.

Other major artists also appeared in the top 10. The Weeknd recorded about 1.2 million mentions, while Bruno Mars received 1.1 million. Harry Styles completed the list with around 1 million mentions.
Jungkook’s strong performance on X shows the size of his global fan base and his growing influence as a solo artist. His popularity was also visible during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.
Following Jungkook’s halftime performance during the World Cup final, he reportedly received more than 800,000 mentions on X. This made him the most-mentioned solo artist on the platform in connection with the tournament.
His influence is not limited to X. Jungkook has also achieved impressive numbers on Instagram. He reportedly has the second-most-reposted post in Instagram history, behind Lionel Messi. Messi’s post has received around 2.6 million reposts.
Jungkook also holds the record for the highest number of Instagram posts by an individual to pass the 1 million repost mark. Seven of his posts have reached the milestone.
TikTok has also become another platform where Jungkook has made history. The #jungkook hashtag has reportedly become the first hashtag linked to a solo artist to pass 400 billion views worldwide.
Meanwhile, BTS continues to perform strongly on international music charts. The group’s fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, has set a new record for the band’s longest consecutive run on the UK’s Official Albums Chart.

According to the latest Official Charts rankings for August 7–13, ARIRANG ranked at No. 43 and completed its 20th consecutive week on the chart. This beats BTS’ previous record of 19 consecutive weeks, which was set by the group’s sixth mini album.
ARIRANG also reached No. 19 on the Official Scottish Albums Chart. The album also returned to the upper positions of the UK’s Official Album Sales and Official Physical Albums charts.
The album continues to perform well on Spotify as well. ARIRANG remained at No. 3 on Spotify’s Weekly Top Albums Global chart, marking its 20th consecutive week near the top.
The album’s main song, SWIM, also remained popular. It climbed to No. 6 on the latest chart and has stayed within the Top 10 for several months. Other songs, including NORMAL, have also continued to appear on international charts.
With Jungkook’s growing social media presence and BTS’ continued chart success, the group and its members remain highly influential in the global music industry.
