KFC Launches Limited Edition Huawei Smartphone to Celebrates 30 Years in China

Kentucky Fried Chicken celebrated its 30th anniversary of operations in China. To make this achievement more memorable, KFC Launches Limited Edition Huawei Smartphone Enjoy 7. This phone will go on sale on 13th July 2017.

The phone is equipped with a 5-inch LCD display panel with a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels. Moreover, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 425, Qualcomm’s mid-range system-on-chip (SoC) with the Adreno 308 GPU. In addition to it, the phone will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal flash memory. However, its more premium variant will feature 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space. Both models will sport a microSD card slot. However, both companies have not revealed any further information about this phone.

The newly smartphone will come with a pre-loaded KFC app with 100,000 K Dollars that users will be able to spend on a jukebox service called K-music. Only 5,000 units of the device will be manufactured to commemorate KFC’s anniversary.

“Between KFC and Huawei, one came from abroad had and settled its roots in China. The other (Huawei) originated here and later expanded its footprint globally,”

Steven Li, senior vice president of KFC marketing with Yum China said.

 “Both brands have witnessed the rise of China in these 30 years, and both embody the spirit of the times. Our collaboration is a homage to the era. The launch of the phone is also an important phase in the brand’s effort to fully digitalise the user experience and venture into into smart F&B and entertainment,”

he added.
