KPK Govt to Develop R&D Center in Collaboration with Tsinghua University. Chief Minister KPK, Parvez Khattak , has agreed on the establishment of research and development center and laboratories. For this, KP Higher Education Department for the public safety and relevant technologies  has collaborated by Heifi Institute for Public Safety Research Tsinghua University, Beijing.

Parvez Khattak appreciated the combined efforts of Tsinghua University and KP Higher Education for Mutually agreed cooperation. He also praised the investment by Tsinghua University in the province.

This cooperation will help in establishment of the state of art laboratory and RD center in the province. On the occasion, Parvez Khattak said:

The provincial government has planned different initiatives for foreign investment under the one belt one road and the agreement would further strengthen and reconcile the CPEC framework for investment

This agreement was signed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department and representative of Tsinghua University, Peng Pu.

Referring to agreement, Tsinghua University will be responsible for the transfer of technology for the establishment of proposed international research center in KPK.

Under Student exchange program, higher education department and Helfi Institute for Public Safety Research will facilitate students for the provision of free residential and research facilities for six months to one year. Chinese government would give scholarships to five or ten students of KPK for undergraduate studies.

The higher education department of the province will give 50 % scholarships to the selected students, staff, professionals and officials of Tsinghua University. Under one-year exchange programme, students of Hitech and research of China and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be facilitated.
