KPK Govt Plans to set up IT laboratories in all Government Schools

He said this while chairing a presentation on establishment of IT Labs in Government schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Peshawar on Monday. The presentation, beside others, was also attended by the Secretary Elementary Education Ali RazaBhutta, Additional Secretary Qaiser Alam and authorities concerned of the IT and other related departments

In current times, education and IT are interlinked and the former sector is incomplete without IT,” the document quoted the education minister as saying.

“Therefore, the PTI-led government has decided to set up IT labs in all government schools across the province.”

The Minister on this occasion was briefed in detail regarding the salient features of IT Labs project. He constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Education to finalize arrangements for establishment of IT Labs.

However, in some places schools have already started meeting technological needs. Earlier in September, an IT laboratory was inaugurated at a government school in Rajar, Charsadda. The laboratory was named after a victim of the Army Public School massacre.
