Lenovo Smartphones will Feature Stock Android from Now as the company has announced its transition to pure Android experience. Anuj Sharma, Head of Product Marketing, Smartphones at Lenovo MBG India, has officially confirmed that their signature ROM will no longer be used.

Lenovo smartphones have as yet been powered by the company’s proprietary UI layer, Vibe UI. Last year with the launch of Lenovo K6, company re-branded it to Vibe Pure UI. The addition of ‘Pure’ in the branding was to signify company’s attempt to reduce bloatware at the time.

The company took this step on consumer demand for a cleaner, smoother Android experience with no bloatware. It will also help Lenovo in providing Android updates quicker and to a wider portfolio of devices. So we can expect in line Moto phones from now on because of quicker Android updates.

Along with this news, the company also confirmed that all 2017 Lenovo K series devices will receive an update to Android O.

Recently, Lenovo has revealed Moto Z2 Play.  The Z2 Play is a mid range smartphone with a 5.5-inch display and compatibility with the Moto Mod accessory platform. It will sell for $499 and will be available in market this summer.
