Lephone is one of China’s leading cellular company and is one of the top ten largest smartphone companies of China. In Pakistan, LePhone is launching three different models of 4G handsets in collaboration with Zong (China Mobile Pakistan) which will be the lowest priced 4G handsets available in the market.  We are going to review “Lephone W11” which will be released in Pakistan this month. The handset is set to be priced between PKR 10,000 to PKR 12,000. We will share the exact price once the handsets are officially launched.

Lephone W11 is 5.0 inches’ device which supports both 3G/4G networks. It is mechanized with 1.3GHz Quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB ROM. The handset runs Android version 6.0 (Marshmallow). The back camera has an 8MP lens and front camera has a smart camera a 2MP lens. The powerhouse is packed with 2,000 mAh battery and internal memory can be increased up to 32GB with the access of memory card.

Display and Design of Lephone W11:

Lephone W11 has a 5 inches screen with supportive resolutions of 720 x 1280. It has a standard resolution and supports 320 dpi. The display features are also standard based on low priced handsets. Its function keys are enabled in the front screen.

The dimensions of Lephone W11 are 142.3 x 71.2 x 8.6 mm and weight is 160 grams. It includes a removable battery of 2000 mAh which adds to the weight of the device. The W11 front body has a front camera at its top and function keys at the bottom side while it doesn’t have any bezel layer.

The top has 3.5 mm standard audio jack while the speakers are placed below along with standard 2.0 microUSB port. The volume keys and power button are on one side of the one with no buttons on the other.

The back body of Lephone W11 is simple and unique because it has 8MP back camera lens on it with LED flashlight. The W11 has a fingerprint scanner at the back which is a unique feature for such a low priced phone.

Camera of Lephone W11:

Lephone W11 has 8MP back camera and 2MP front camera. It can record videos in 720p quality. The back camera comes with a LED flashlight.

The main modes are beauty mode, watermark and time-lapse. Some effects are also available such as sepia, fisheye, gray, color and many others. The interface is very simple and easy to use. We can increase or decrease beauty level in beauty mode.

Camera results are satisfactory however outdoor results are better compared to indoor results with low-light. Selfies from the front camera are not very high end, but decent for a low range phone. Let’s have a look at some images taken from back and front camera of Lephone W11.

Memory of Lephone W11:

Lephone W11 has 16GB ROM and 1GB RAM. The memory card is supportive of up to 32GB and the best feature of the phone is that it can accommodate dual SIM along with a separate slot for the memory card present under the back cover.

While 1GB RAM may have its limitations, the low price makes it good value for money.

Network/Connectivity of Lephone W11:

Lephone W11 is 4G enabled device with the support of 3G also. It has access to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM Radio. Wi-Fi supports the standards of b/g/n while the Bluetooth version is 4.0.

It is dual SIM supportive device with the access of dual stand by and both SIMs should be of Micro size. The memory card has a separate place and it supports up to 32GB.

Battery of Lephone W11:

Lephone W11 has 2,000 mAh removable battery inside the back cover of it. With standard usage, the battery performance is fairly decent.

Interface of Lephone W11:

If we look at the interface of Lephone W11 then it runs Android version 6.0 (Marshmallow).

The lock screen is little different as compared to other devices because it has date and time widget at its downside. If you have to unlock the device you have to swipe right to the screen.

Processor of Lephone W11:

Lephone W11 has 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The handset has 32-bit type processor and it has chip set of Spreadtrum SC9832A. The chipset is faster than any dual-core chipset. We have tested it and got no delays and lags. 1GB RAM with a quad-core processor performs fairly.

Antutu Bench Marking of Lephone W11:

Antutu benchmarking always give us the best test score of any device and we have tested this benchmarking on Lephone W11 and it has got 20,273 points. The multi-touch test has scored 5-points.

Vellamo Bench Marking of Lephone W11:

Vellamo conduct three tests to check the device and these tests are multi-core test, browser test and metal test. Multi-core has scored 1,156 points, metal scored 740 points, and browser scored 1,479 points.
