LG First 5G Smartphone to Appear in H1 2019

Sprint has collaborated with LG Electronics USA to launch the first 5G smartphone in the United States. The sprint has announced that it will introduce LG first 5G smartphone in the first half of 2019.

LG First 5G Smartphone to Launch in US

The phone’s specifications and release date will be announced later. The Sprint and LG joint press release did not reveal that when the device will come, how it will look and how it will work. It even didn’t provide any concrete information about LG first 5G smartphone but it only revealed that LG smartphone will land in 2019, it will be 5G-capable, and it will be the first of its 5G smartphone.

John Saw, chief technology officer for Sprint said:

Today’s announcement brings us one step closer to putting a beautifully designed, advanced 5G smartphone in our customers’ hands

Furthermore, John Tudhope, director of product portfolio for Sprint said that We are far enough along in the development that we would be surprised if anyone beat us. Neither Sprint nor LG have uttered any word about the model or price of the device.

However, Sprint is not the first one to talk about a 5G-compatible device. Verizon has also announced about a 5G “Moto Mod” that is going to launch next year to give its Motorola Moto Z3 next-generation network capabilities.
